Why I created No Rejection Marketing
- Leading up to the crash
My life leading up to the crash had been fantastic. I had my ups and downs as an entrepreneur, however, I was living my life exactly how I wanted to. I had many successes and a few set backs but we all experience those on our life journey. Life was great.
I first discovered the power of internet marketing married to traditional marketing in 1998. My broker at the time, was a true internet marketing genius. He used everything at his disposal…white hat, black hat, and everything in between. He was a master at SEO.
When we slipped from page one for keywords, he would lock himself up for the weekend and tweak our website, and within a few days we were back getting tons of leads.
This lasted for 2 years, when I decided to jump ship to another Real Estate office. He too, was a great internet marketer.
It was at that time that I began to realize that internet marketing only takes you so far. It can get you leads, but it doesn’t sell the property. You still have to master basic sales and people skills as well as utilize traditional marketing weapons.
I’ll tell you about this hard lesson in a minute.

In 2002 I earned my Florida Real EState brokers license and opened up my own office with a partner. He ran the management company and I did the sales.
Initially we couldn’t seem to get the website ranked for key words.
The internet marketing field was in a state of rapid transition. PPC was just gaining popularity so we decided to spend a good portion of time mastering it. It took us a few months, but we finally achieved breakthrough. It was like a huge faucet was turned on. We had more leads than we could get to.
Add the pending real estate boom that was in it’s infancy and we didn’t sleep for 3 years. Life was really good. We added to our income by flipping homes in addition to helping my clients.

Then came the bust of 2008. It actually started for us in 2007. For the last year we noticed things slowing down, but we couldn’t quite put our finger on it. And…the big builders were continuing to build like crazy and they were telling everyone that it was still a boom.
It was in summer of 2007 that our banker told us there was a crash coming, and they and all other banks were going to stop lending.
Our business virtually stopped. Lending had stopped and…PPC had matured to the point that it was much more expensive to maintain.
Our budget of $3 k per month wasn’t cutting it. In fact, when we calculating what it would cost to continue to dominate PPC, we realized it had doubled and would probably triple or quadruple in the next year. It did in fact do that.
That was when we learned the very very painful and expensive lesson. Do not put all of your eggs in any marketing technique or weapon. I don’t care what the gurus tell you. If they tell you not to worry, run the other way. They are selling you a pile of BS at your expense.
So what did I do when my real estate business crashed?
When the realization hit me it was 2008. I had taken a full year off, and simply played, and acted like I was retired. We had 2 years of cash reserves and I thought sure that it would take a year, but I was convinced the economy would come back.
It was in 2008 when the banks and wall street crashed the economy for good, that I realized, everyone…and I mean everyone except that elite few at the top that are pulling the strings of the world economy, are in major trouble.
Why? Well, it would take much longer than this video of a few minutes to explain it, but we have witnessed the largest wholesale transfer of wealth to an elite few at the top in history.
It’s not your fault and it’s not my fault, but we are left with the responsibility to figure out how to survive in this new economy.
That’s why it feels different out there if you are a small business entrepreneur. It really is different. Nothing works the same as it used to. There are different rules and these rules are mainly set by huge megacorps with no heart, no sole, and no sense of ethics or morals.
Since the crash, huge mega corporations have taken over almost all markets. When the smaller companies couldn’t weather the depression, the larger companies stepped in and bought them, or worse yet, just absorbed their customer base.
That resulted in small business persons and other unfortunate individuals that lost their job or were downsized, having to seek any employment available. That employment came with a price.
The entrepreneur making $150k per year, found themselves working for $8 per hour at Wal mart. Why? Because Walmart was one of the few mega corps still hiring.
If you were fortunate enough to land another job in the same field you almost always took a huge pay cut. The mega corps knew that they could outsource your tech job or skill to other parts of the world for pennies on the dollar.
To add insult to injury a propaganda campaign funded by the ultra rich was initiated to direct the blame from themselves, the culprits that caused the crash and turned it on those of you that still had jobs on the ones that couldn’t find work, or lost their businesses.
Somehow, it was small businesses and individuals that defrauded the poor banks and wall street that were to blame.
The US ended up where it is today, With 2 sets of haves. The haves were not only the ultra wealthy, but also, those employees of the mega corps that were able to keep their jobs.
It wasn’t difficult to turn that finger of blame on the poor and underprivileged. So it quickly became a system of blame the poor and jobless, rather than hold the real culprits of the crashed economy accountable.
The heads of the banks, wall street, and the huge mega corps continued to thrive and get richer. Not only that but the very same people that caused the crash are now at the helm on Capitol hill.
So in 2008 I decided to recommit myself to totally cracking the internet marketing code. I spend over $200 k in courses, coaching and mentoring, trial and error.
Over the next 4 years I spent the majority of my days engaged in internet marketing and coaching and mentoring others on how to start up or breath life back into their business.
At first it came very easily and was loving life. Within the first year of my new endeavor I thought I was going to replace my lost real estate income. I even had my first $10,000 day of sales.
However, as soon as I gained momentum and thought I was on the way, google would come up with a slap and new algorithm, and the whole industry would be upside down. I soon realized that none of the internet marketing gurus really knew all of the answers.
Most were peddling a piece of automation software that was outdated as soon as you bought it.(Been there and done that!)
Others were selling a great marketing break through idea . Again, the problem was that they sold a dream rather than reality.
What I discovered: The Terrible Truth and the light at the end of the tunnel.
I had been fighting a nagging idea for the last year, but I had refused to acknowledge it.
The terrible truth that I had to accept in order to master the new business environment and internet marketing is that there is no magic plan or scheme that works for everyone, despite what the gurus will tell you, so that they can sell you their next line of BS.
I also found that many of the programs had some truth to them. The problem was that only a true master and veteran of the internet could separate the BS from the truth.
Once I accepted that terrible truth, I achieved break through. I was able to assemble the tools and weapons that work and throw out the ones that didn’t. The ones that worked constitute the No Rejection Marketing system.
This new system includes the most critical flaw in virtually all of the internet marketing get rich products.
Why would these brilliant internet marketing wizards leave out the most critical element?
Because it means that they would have to impart the single most important aspect of any wizard. Their time and knowledge.
Yes, the reason you may have failed at internet marketing before, and possibly many time, is that you don’t know what you don’t know. And…it’s very lucrative to keep you that way.
It’s kind of like if you were give a manual on brain surgery. You wouldn’t know how to start, nor which surgery to do for a specific condition. If the goal is to continue to sell you marketing products and ideas, then the key is to keep you in the dark, so that you can’t tell the difference between a product that works and one that doesn’t .
The terrible truth is that only about 10% of you are technical enough to figure out true internet marketing.
It’s like brain surgery. There are many variables and they are constantly changing.
In order to be successful you need someone to assess your goals, your current knowledge level, your passions, and your challenges.
Then a seasoned internet marketing wizard can plug you into or supply the critical missing elements to your business.
I also discovered that the majority of you that claim to want to learn how to market yourself or a product on the internet don’t have enough technical knowledge, nor patience and time to learn how to do it, before you run out of money!
So…I quickly started separating the 2 groups of clients and students.
- Those with the technical aptitude, time, money, and patience to learn how to be successful at internet marketing.
- Those that need assistance with their marketing plan and efforts.
